New Student Information & Orientation
Welcome Class of 2024!
We are delighted that you will be joining us this fall term, and look forward to meeting you and working with you over the next four years.
We understand that the global COVID-19 pandemic will impact your experience at Caltech, beginning with your arrival on campus. While no decision has been made about whether the campus will be opening to all undergraduate students for fall term 2020, we will provide you with clear updates as soon as it is feasible to do so.
Our transition back to campus learning and research will occur in stages, and in ways that are consistent with guidelines set by public health officials. The Coronavirus Information page provides regular updates on Caltech's ongoing response to the pandemic.
The deans' office is ready to facilitate your transition to Caltech. COVID-19 aside, we understand that you have many questions. When will I receive my housing assignment? What about meals? And placement exams? What should I pack for college? This website will answer many of your questions as you prepare to enroll at Caltech. Please check back regularly as we will be updating information over the course of the summer.
Feel free to contact us with questions about any information on this website. Important dates follow, with the understanding that COVID-19 planning may require changes and adjustments:
