Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, Kristin attended Middlebury College as an undergraduate and Northwestern University for her MSEd. She has been at Caltech since 2018.
Kristin provides support to first and second year students who are dealing with academic, personal, or family issues and frequently talks with students about financial concerns and possibilities around underloads and leaves of absence. She loves speaking with students about their passion for research and learning, and works with the following programs:

Kristin previously served in a variety of student support roles at Ohio Wesleyan University, Claremont McKenna College, Sewanee: The University of the South, Washington University in St. Louis, Northwestern University, and Middlebury College.
In her free time, Kristin enjoys traveling, hiking, and paddleboarding, and basically any excuse to be outdoors in the sunshine. When forced indoors, she likes to crochet and enjoys a good book. She volunteers with the Pasadena Humane Society to help dogs find new homes
