Therese Bagsit
Therese Bagsit manages the daily operations of the Deans' Office and communicates with students, faculty, and staff to solve problems across campus. She works closely with the deans in coordinating the selection of Caltech's leadership awards and academic prizes, including the Goldwater Scholarship.
Prior to joining the Deans' Office in 2025, Therese provided administrative research support for the Kornfield Group at Caltech and was a seasonal application reader in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Therese earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Education from the University of Southern California; she has served in admissions and student affairs roles at UCLA School of Law and the USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism. She is a native Angeleno who is active in the Pasadena community – as a 10-year volunteer with Pasadena Humane Society, and as a baby cuddler in the neonatal unit at Huntington Hospital. Therese has a record player in the Deans' Office and encourages all vinyl enthusiasts at Caltech to drop by and play some records!
