Marsh Travel Fund
The primary purpose of the Marsh Travel Fund is to enhance the undergraduate experience at Caltech by supporting travel that encourages professional development through contact with faculty and alumni.
The Travel Fund has been used to support undergraduate participation in the travel programs of the Caltech Associates and the Caltech Alumni Association. At the discretion of the undergraduate deans, the award may also cover or supplement costs towards other travel, such as conferences, that enhances professional growth.
Applications to the Travel Fund may be made on behalf of individuals or groups, but should be submitted by a non-student sponsor of the trip—a faculty member, staff member, or club advisor, for example.
An application for funding should include a budget, a specific amount requested, a description of the trip, and a brief discussion of potential interaction with faculty and/or alumni or other experiences that will contribute toward professional development. Recipients of the award are responsible for obtaining and completing the necessary waivers and liability forms.
